Light of Life Meal Distribution

Joshua House Pittsburgh

The Joshua Foundation board members and several volunteers have supported Light of Life in its Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Box Drive. The Joshua Foundation began the assembly of Thanksgiving meal baskets in 2008 with 250 baskets provided to families in need. Three years later the effort became an annual collaboration with Light of Life and is now serving almost 2000 families. The wonderful part of the effort is that meals are distributed by a vast network of 25 partner ministries. The meals are a symbol of love as these organizations demonstrate and often provide the best opportunity to proclaim the Gospel.

Food Build

Once the meals are packed and shipped to Haiti, they are donated to a ministry called Hearts for the Hungry who distributes them to local churches, schools and orphanages. In many cases your team can help distribute the food in Haiti.
