George Payne

George Payne…Senior Loan Officer… Federated Mortgage Corp. since 2000. George spent a total of 6 years in the US Navy including serving a two year tour of duty on the USS Salem CA 139, Flagship of the 6TH Fleet in the Mediterranean Sea. His early years were spent in the restaurant industry. From Delney’s Restaurant, as a cook to McDonalds as manager. In 1963, George took a Management/Development position for Hardee’s Restaurants, actively opening and setting up 16 Hardee’s Restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. He worked his way to VP of Operations for those 16 restaurants. George was very active with the parent company of Hardee’s Restaurants, located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was a member of the National Standardization Committee that was responsible for laying out the menu items for all restaurants and was a speaker at their national conventions. George later moved into the retail business with 7 Eleven stores. Starting as an Auditor, Manager, District Manager and advancing to Director of Marketing for 73 stores in the Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio areas. He purchased two (2) stores which he kept for 5 years. George moved to the mortgage industry with Federated Mortgage Corp. in May of 2000, where he still hangs his hat. George is a member of the MS Leaders Circle, Board Member of Joshua House Foundation, Board member and Co-Chair of NAIPC (National Aging In Place Coalition, Pittsburgh Chapter), Ambassador for Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber and various other community service groups. George was named by Pittsburgh Magazine as ‘5 Star Mortgage Professional’ 2010 through 2018 for the 7th consecutive year. Also honored by North Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber with ‘2017 Outstanding Volunteer Service of The Year Award‘. George focuses his mortgage efforts on educating and navigating his clients through the mortgage process. This is done with one on one meetings detailing and making sure clients fully understand the mortgage process. A happy well informed client is indeed a happy referral source which is essential to him in continually building his business.
